Celebrity Salon Fans: Where the Celebrities Go and What Treatments They Like

Today’s celebrities all seem to have their favorite salon and beauty treatments. While many people couldn’t even afford to walk in the door to some of these establishments, you might be surprised about some of the others. Here are some celebrities and the salons they use to look their best.

Garren Salon - Fifth Avenue, New York City

This is one of the most popular salons in the Big Apple. All the stars go here and if you can get in for an appointment, consider yourself lucky. Angelina Jolie, Eva Longoria, Oprah Winfrey, Courtney Love, and just about anyone who’s anyone has been to Garren. The president of the Garren Company, New York, is Thom Priano, who has worked with such stars as Brad Pitt, David Bowie, Cindy Crawford, and Giselle - just to name a few. A haircut starts at $300, with another $180 for a blow dry. The salon also offers manicures and pedicures, as well as coloring and highlighting services. For additional fees, the Garren team will travel to you.

Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salon & Spa - Fifth Avenue, New York

This fabulous spa is known worldwide for its outstanding service. While the space is somewhat limited, the treatments are absolutely the top of the line. Many of the runway models are regular clients. The prices are relative to the other five star salons in the city. You can get a hair cut for about $100, a facial for $125, and a massage for an hour for $110. All in all, it’s one of the most popular spas in the city.

Rachel K. Salon - East Oak Street, Chicago

In Style magazine has voted this salon as the top establishment in Chicago. Many of the most contemporary celebrities will stop in Chicago simply to get a quick trim and style here. Some of the more famous clientele include Christy Brinkley and Wynonna Rider. This salon is located in one of the city’s première shopping districts, between Prada, Yves St. Laurent, and Jill Sander.

Andy Lecompte - West Hollywood

Madonna’s personal stylist, Andy Lecompte, has made the move to open his own salon in the West Hollywood area. Lindsey Lohan and Penelope Cruz are also favored clients. The salon is a mix of a New York City loft and Hollywood chic. This salon just opened in February 2009, and will soon be a staple in this celebrity filled city.

While there are far too many celebrity salons to highlight here, you will find they reach every end of the spectrum. Many of the hottest salons are, of course, found in New York, Los Angeles, and Miami. Some are actually accessible to regular people, but you may have a wait to get an appointment. The favorite services are hair cuts, styling, and facials, but some celebrities, are pretty specific as to where they will even get a manicure. But of course, what is in today in the celebrity world is out tomorrow!
